Rising Star
Our winery and tasting room in Rising Star sits in one of the prettiest vineyard locations in Texas. With an elevation of more than 1600 feet, the vineyard experiences cool nights and delightful prevailing winds that contribute to high-quality grapes as well as to making it a very pleasant place to visit.
This part of the state is referred to as the Big Country and you'll find wonderful broad vistas and a night sky that is simply eye-popping. The country-side features rolling hills and is dotted with towns with a rich history reaching back to the earliest settlements. The Texas Forts Trail leads through the area, due to the large number of native American tribes who peopled this land before the settlers came.
Our vineyard is more than 20 years old, and you'll find our tasting room cozy and rustic, and filled with Texas hospitality. We feature a gift shop and great wines and, most of the year, a great patio and lawn that we invite you to come and enjoy. Pack a picnic and plan to stay awhile.
